Team Deans: Where does your passion for racing come from?
Kody Hubred: I'd have to say it comes from growing up around it, my dad raced until I was 6. I always wanted to race a car since I could remember, also my competitive nature seems to fuel the fire to race.
Team Deans: When did you start racing yourself?
Kody Hubred: It has to be all the races in dads shop on our big wheels, my brother and I would go at it. We would wreck each other for the win just to carry the checkered flag around. We also used to sit in his car while it was on stands get strapped and pretend we were racing. We might of even fired it up a few times.
Team Deans: When you aren’t at the shop or the track what are you typically doing?
Kody Hubred: I'm usually working or out with friends doing something that involves a motor.
Team Deans: How do you get your racing fix in during the off-season?
Kody Hubred: Snowmobiles.... They are a life saver. Also watching old race tapes, my mom has taped every race I've ever ran so that helps. If I never started racing- I don't even know how to answer that, racing has been such a huge part of my life I don't know what I would be doing. I'm sure I'd have a lot of other toys with all the money I'd have
Team Deans: What are you most excited about for the upcoming 2016 season?
Kody Hubred: To run a late model. I've always wanted to run one and after I got to run Chad Millers car it really set in that it's where I want to be. My crew chief (Casey Johnson) keeps me pretty excited, I think some days he's more excited about it than I am! I can't wait to plant one on his door.
