#54 - Rich Schumann Jr.
The first returning member of Team Deans has been called by many names: Richard, Rich, The Schumanator, but after 2015 the sweetest name of them all is The Champ. Running a late model full time at Dells Raceway Park in 2015 Rich Schuman Jr. claimed the championship by a slim 11-point margin over veteran Steve Dobratz. The championship became the first for Team Dean’s and we are excited to have Rich back on the team for the 2016 season. Rich plans on running the Big 8 Series and in the late model division at Dells Raceway Park again next season where he will look to go back to back and claim another championship.

#6 - Jason Thoma
One of the new additions to Team Deans in 2016 is a driver many are already familiar with. Jason Thoma has made a name for himself in the sportsmen circuit becoming the inaugural Great Northern Sportsman Series Champion in 2013. Thoma has seen recent success at Wisconsin’s Action Track Jefferson Speedway as well as most other tracks in Wisconsin. The 2015 season didn’t end the way the crew wanted to with something breaking on the right front and the car destroyed at Dells Raceway Park, but the driver and crew are ready to welcome the 2016 season. You can see Jason at Jefferson, Dells and on the Great Northern Sportsman Series tour during the upcoming year.

#31 - Kelsey Schultz
To say 2015 was a rough year for Kelsey Schultz would be an understatement. Several major wrecks last season put Kelsey and team behind the eight ball all year, however, with a rebuilt car and rebuilt spirits Kelsey is ready to make a name for herself at Dells Raceway Park. With another year in Late Models under her belt the returning member to Team Dean’s is looking for big things in 2016.

#192 - Kyle Stark
When it comes to racing nowhere is too far of drive for returning member Kyle Stark. If there is a 4-cylinder race, there is a chance you will see the 192 in the field. 2015 was up and down for Kyle. From wins to wrecked race cars and everything in between Kyle saw it all. The upcoming 2016 season will be another year of traveling across the Midwest for Kyle and the 192. We are excited to see how many Dubya’s the lone 4 cylinder in Teams Dean’s can rack up.
#29 - Davey Pennel
Last season was a year of trials for Davey Pennel. After a hopeful offseason with the purchase of a new sportsmen car things looked promising for the young hot shoe. After struggling with the engine and set up Davey received an offer he could not resist and decided to sell the sportsman car focusing his racing efforts on a smaller scale, Coulee Go Kart Raceway where he brought home the first Team Deans Karting championship in the Pro Stock division as well as an end of the year special on dirt up in Menomonee. The upcoming 2016 season you will find Davey at Coulee Go Kart Raceway, Menomonee and at local short tracks in a 4 cylinder.

#14 - Steve Bachman
The 2015 season was a season of ‘what if’ for Steve. A week after signing on to the Team Dean’s crew, he suffered an injury away from the race track which forced him to sit on the hill and watch the races for 7 weeks. When he returned to action Steve racked up 3 wins and claimed the inaugural ‘Chase Championship’ at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem. The 2016 season will be a redeeming year for Steve. Looking to carry the momentum him and the crew ended the year he could be a threat each and every week. In addition to racing at LaCrosse you might see the #14 a few times to Dells Raceway Park as well as Marshfield.

#31 - Larry Schotten
If any driver could use some luck it is Larry Schotten. A long time veteran of Dells Raceway Park Larry is coming off a 2015 campaign which saw him ending up 11th in Late Model points last season. Ready to take on another full time season in the late models you Larry is looking for some luck to be on his side and to crack into the top 10 in points 2016.

#2 - Dave Trute
In 2015 when the #2 showed up the to the track you were running for second. A Great Northern Sportsman Series championship capped off a 2015 which included twenty fast times and fifteen wins for Dave and the crew. In 2016 you will see the #2 traveling the state racing several local short track programs as well as with the Great Northern Sportsmen Series.

#50 - Mike Carlson
Cool and calm describes our another new face to the Team Dean’s Roster. Son of multi-time National champion Steve Carlson, Mike Carlson has seen success in the Late Model division at LaCrosse Fairground Speedway. Last season Mike finished 6th in points that included a trip to Lefthander and sidelined him for two weeks as the car was rebuilt. In 2016 you will find the #50 weekly at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in the NASCAR Late Model Division.

#5 - Casey Johnson
Another new face to the 2016 Team Dean’s line up brings even more Championships. Casey Johnson is coming off back to back Late Model titles at Jefferson Speedway as well as a 3rd place and Rookie of the Year title in a super late model at Wisconsin International Raceway. #20 - Kody Hubred
A driver many may not know Kody Hubred is turning heads in anything he competes in. Last year saw Kody in a Mid American car and Sportsmen finding success in both. This year Kody is making the jump into a Limited Late Model. With the help of several people with Team Dean’s connections Kody will be piloting his new ride at Dells Raceway Park as well a few other tracks during the end of the year specials. New challenges do not scare Kody at all and he is ready to find victory lane!
#25 - Scott 'Chico' Riedner
A long time Midwest racer, Scott ‘Chico’ Riedner becomes the first dirt Team Dean’s driver. Scott made the transition to dirt a few years ago after racing asphalt for many years in southern Wisconsin. Racing pretty much every dirt track on the east side of Wisconsin last year, Scott and Riedner racing saw a lot of success. The 2016 season looks to be more of the same with not calling any one track home, but still racing as much as possible.
#4D - Brandon Riedner
The second member of Riedner Racing to join Team Dean’s in 2015 is Scott’s son Brandon. Coming off a season in that included 7 total features and two championships on dirt at Beaver Dam, Brandon is in the process of building a brand new sport mod car for 2016. If there is dirt on the track there is a good chance Brandon and crew will race on it at some point as they plan on running several big shows across the Midwest including the Frost Buster at Marshalltown Speedway and the SuperNationals in September at Boone Speedway both in Iowa.
#44 - Mike Lichtfeld
Another returning member to Team Dean’s the Cuatro Cuatro is making a name for himself in Super Late Models. Seeing early success at Dells Raceway Park, Mike finished the year off strong with a pair of 4thplace finishes in points (Dells Raceway Park, TUNDRA Super Late Models). The upcoming schedule for Mike looks to be very similar to last season. You will see the #44 on a regular basis at Dells Raceway Park and in the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series as well as traveling on a limited basis in the ARCA Midwest Tour to tracks like Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana (typically in the orange and white #01).
